The Today page
Every new tab answers one question before you start typing. What matters today?
Open a new tab and Matters that Matter shows the day: what is due, what is late, what needs sorting and who you’re waiting on.
The day
On the left, under the date:
- To sort: the open Actions in the Inbox. Select it to process the Inbox.
- Reviews due: the active Matters whose review is due. Select it to review them, one at a time.
- Waiting: the Actions waiting on someone, and how many of them for over two weeks. Select it to choose one.
Below them are four shortcuts: Quick add, Open board, New note and Go to file.
Its Actions
On the right are the Actions due today or late, not done, by priority, then due date, then title. After six, a link takes you to the rest on the board.
When nothing is due, the page says “Nothing due today. Next up:” and lists the open Actions in your first status after the backlog (Next, by default).
Select a card to show it in the inspector; double-click it to open its note in this tab.
Turn it off
Settings → Matters that Matter → Show Today in new tabs offers:
